THE STORY
A film-led study of the San Remo residence.
San Remo sits at the gateway to Phillip Island — the last town on the mainland before the bridge. The blocks here often carry a long view across the strait to the island, and pools built here have to sit inside that view rather than block it.
The brief here was a contemporary architect-led concrete pool, sized for family use, with equipment specced for the wind and salt that San Remo carries. Holiday-home build — idle stretches between visits, has to be ready when the family arrives.
