REGION 04 · MORNINGTON PENINSULA

Concrete pools, from Mt Eliza to Portsea.

From Frankston to Portsea. Holiday compounds, primary residences, larger blocks. Often architect-led, often integrated with landscape.

A region of two pools.

The Peninsula isn't one region — it's two. The bay side from Frankston down to Portsea is more sheltered, more residential, more about primary residences with bay-view briefs. The ocean side from Rye through Blairgowrie is more weather-exposed, more holiday-focussed, more about compounds that hold three generations on Christmas Day.

We've built across both sides for over a decade. The brief shifts depending on which side of the spine you're on: bay-side jobs lean architect-led and primary-residence, ocean-side jobs lean compound and weekend.

We carry both sides with the one crew. Jordan is at every pour, on either side of the Peninsula.

What Peninsula builds need.

01 · Bay side vs. ocean side

Two different briefs, both common across the Peninsula.

Most Bayside builds need a crane to put the shell steel and the equipment in. We regularly clear 1.2m side gates with concrete pumps and over-fence cranes. Access planning is the first design conversation, not an afterthought.

02 · Shire planning

The Peninsula Shire has its own pace and patterns.

We're set up to work directly with architects. We respect the language already in the home, take direction on tile, coping and edge details, and document fully through the architect's CAD environment. The pool needs to land as part of the design, not in spite of it.

03 · Larger blocks, landscape integration

More opportunity to integrate the pool with the broader site.

Peninsula blocks are bigger than Bayside ones, on average. That changes what the pool is. More room for proper landscape integration — native planting, retained walls, terraced sites, pool-deck-landscape transitions that aren't possible on a tight Bayside courtyard. We brief the design with a landscape designer if the site warrants it.

04 · Two seasons of use

Heavy summer use, quiet winter. Plan for both.

Most Peninsula pools have a strong summer peak and a quieter winter floor. We spec automation, dosing and cover behaviour for both ends — busy use through summer and low-touch resilience through winter. The pool that takes 30 people on Boxing Day is the same pool that sits with a cover on for July; the equipment package has to handle both.

A pool, on the Peninsula

Built for the busy days and the quiet ones.

Peninsula clients ask for two things at once: a pool that holds a lot of people on the busy days, and looks like it belongs to the home on the quiet ones. Christmas Day, three generations, kids in the pool, adults at the table on the deck. The week after, two people swimming laps before dinner.

That calls for a pool that does the actual work without making a meal of it — one that runs cleanly across busy and quiet seasons, and keeps out of the way of the architecture and the landscape it sits in.
